I remember being interested in art from an early age, probably about the third grade. Art classes were always my favorites. Since then I have been drawing and painting for longer than I like to think about, although not consistently. Retired now I am able to spend more time pursuing my interests.  Through the years I've been fortunate to attend workshops and classes that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Watercolors fit my need early on since they dried fast, I didn't have the patience to wait for oils .  Acrylics were next which allowed me to paint details and again, dried fast, but too fast making blending difficult. So most recently it has been oils, a great medium. Most of my subjects have been landscapes or wildlife. A painting of a water ozzel (dipper) was accepted by Leigh Yawkey Birds in Art. Another painting, of my son flyfishing on the Metolius River, was selected by Oregon Trout Stamp to be used for fund raising.
